Hey. I am the marketing/ advertising director at Jenkins Enterprises. I am a work in progress and am learning everyday. This was not something I was interested in until I threw myself in to try to help. I started in the childcare field and owned my own home daycare, during my free time, I started my own beauty blog which meant I had to learn how to start a blog from scratch. These skills have helped me create the website for Jenkins Enterprises, I really hope you like it. Hopefully, you will see more of Jenkins Enterprises out in the community, that means I am getting the hang of my new career.
Besides being a part of the JE team, I am the better half to the boss man, Josh. We have 2 super cute and rotten kids, with another on the way because we are crazy. We have 4 cats and a dog and we are adopting another in the spring, again crazy. I really enjoy being on our boat, camping, and traveling (especially to Disney World). Talk beauty products and Disney World with me and I will be your best friend.
What has been your favorite project at JE? One we are currently working on, a full new home build for Sarah (our team member). It is going to be gorgeous.
The most important career lessons you have learned? Dont give yourself a choice whether or not to get things done. Just do it, don’t think about the deadline.
Favorite Movie line? “The problem is not the problem. The problem is your attitude about the problem”- Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean
Favorite place to vacation? Jamaica for now. I am excited to do more traveling and see if my favorite changes.
If your life was a movie, what actor would play you? Jennifer Lawrence
If you could meet anyone, dead or alive, who would it be? Walt Disney
What is your Motto? Be kind.
Three things on your bucket list? 1. Traveling- Amalfi Coast, Paris, London, Santorini, Ireland, Australia.
2. Building my dream home
3. See all of the Disney properties (Disneyland California, Tokyo, Shanghai, Paris, etc)
If you could eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be? Probably nachos with the perfect slushy fountain Pepsi.
Where was your first job? I worked the ice cream counter at Bert’s 50’s Diner when I was 14.
What motivates you? My kids motivate me because I want them to have experiences that I wish I had when I was a kid, especially through travel. My husband Josh- literally motivates me to do better and be better and is usually the one pushing me to do new things especially if its a good business idea.
What made you chose this career path? Wanting to help my husband’s company grow.
Whats the best piece of professional advice you have received? You are going fail but you will only truly fail, if you quit.
